Working alongside long-time collaborator, Monique Roy, guest editing for the Folio I Act 4 edition of Ascending Design provided an opportunity to challenge the common preoccupation with creative output, and instead reflect on and highlight the value of the creative process itself. Over the span of several weeks, fellow emerging interdisciplinary practitioners were invited to take part in a series of open-practice studio sessions. These sessions revealed new methods of co-creation that shifted away from delivering an outcome or fulfilling a brief, and instead prioritised playful and openminded exploration.
